Springhill offers a broad, flexible and challenging curriculum. Although based on the English National Curriculum (ENC) guidelines, our curriculum exceeds those requirements and will be extended over the years to include the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme.

Pupil are introduced to a wide range of subjects, which includes Science, Mathematics, English, French, Information and Communication Technology, Geography, History, religious Education, Drama, Art and Design, Design and Technology, Physical Education, Citizenship and Approaches to Learning. Music is elaborately explored so that each child can learn to play an instrument.

The learning is divided into three broad stages, the foundation Stage (Ages 2-4), Key Stage One (Ages 5-7) and Key Stage Two (Ages 8-11). Key Stage examinations form part of the ENC and so the 7 and 11 years old will take the Standard Assessment Tests (SATS). A system of continuous assessment and realistic fixed date targets for improvement ensures that appropriate success is achieved. Learning support is provided when necessary from either the class teachers or the subject teachers.

The school has dedicated, friendly, approachable, trained and qualified faculty that work collaboratively to ensure that each child is optimally challenged and is achieving his/her best.

Involvement in sports and outdoor activities is an important part of the education at Springhill Schools. Physical fitness is encouraged as it helps to provide the stamina to study effectively and to make the most of each day.

At Springhill Schools, we educate in a happy yet disciplined atmosphere. As a secular school, we welcome children from all religious background; however, our values are based on Christian principles. All members of staff are expected to monitor each child’s progress and welfare in partnership with the pupils and their families.

Every child can excel at something and it is our responsibility at Springhill Schools to identify that ‘something’ and develop it.
